Installing FauAPI DevOps Pipeline Tasks

To find and install FauAPI DevOps Pipeline tasks extension:

  1. Go to the VisualStudio Marketplace.
  2. Select the Azure DevOps Tab. This will show you the Azure DevOps extensions search page with listing of available extensions.
  3. Enter 'Find a Use an API DevOps tasks' which represents the name, word or phrase for the DevOps pipeline tasks extension you wish to find in the Search box.
  4. Select the Search icon to submit your search. This will show you the Find a Use an API DevOps tasks extension in the result listing.
  5. Select the Find a Use an API DevOps task extension from the results listing. This will show you the Overview page.
  6. Select the Get it for free button from the top header banner to start the installation process.
  7. Select FaUAPI Team from the Select a Visual Studio Team Services account dropdown menu.
  8. Select Install. Some users may need you request installation by their IT Support Team.

The Find and Use API DevOps tasks extension is private, only members of the dfe.gov.uk organisation and DfE DevOps tenant can see the extensions page. If you can access https://dev.azure.com/dfe.gov.uk, then you have access to the DfE DevOps extension. And it would be within the Extensions left-side tab option listings under the Organization settings. Once installed, it is automatically updated with the latest published version.

Accessing pre-installed FauAPI DevOps Pipeline Tasks extension

To find install FauAPI DevOps Pipeline tasks extension for the organization tenants you are part of (in this case, dfe-gov-uk):

  1. Go to https://dfe-gov-uk.visualstudio.com/
  2. Select the Organization Setting from the bottom left sidebar menu option. This will show you the settings overview page.
  3. Select Extensions under the General left sidebar menu option. This will show you the Extensions page with listings of Installed, Requested and Shared extensions pages.
  4. Select the Filters icon below the Browse marketplace button. This will show you the Filter by keyword textbox.
  5. Enter or type in 'Find and Use an API DevOps tasks' into the Filter by keyword textbox. This will show you the Find and Use an API DevOps tasks extension details including:
  • Publisher (e.g FaUAPI Team)
  • Installed version (e.g 0.1.44 (Latest))
  • Last updated (e.g 11 Feb 2025 at 17:56 GMT)
